WE ARE LEAVING

We have just found out that we have hit a brick wall.  The court and the town council can not come to an agreement and we have been advised to go home until it is resolved.  Our hearts are breaking.  We have to leave Aaron for an indefinite amount of time.  Please pray for us.  We must tell him in the next hour and we can't bear the thought.  It is NOT an issue with our paperwork.  Everything in our paperwork is fine and we should pass court without trouble.  It is an issue between two political parties in this area and with the judge sick - there is no way for the issue to be resolved.  Please pray for us.  We will be heading home in the next few days as soon as we can get our travel arrangements planned.  It absolutely is breaking our heart to leave Aaron behind!

  7. I know how hard this is, the same thing happened to us... after being there a month we had to come home without our son.
    We were home about another month before we could return and finish the adoption. This was due to political instability also.

    Praying for a fast resolution! I know it's tough, but atleast you know you'll be back for him.

  8. Julia,
    Psalm 41:1-3
    How blessed is he who considers the helpless; the Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. The lord will protect him and keep him alive, and he shall be called blessed upon the earth; and do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.

    These verses were a comfort to me very recently. I hope they comfort you also. I am praying for you, dear friends.

  9. Oh, Julia, I'm so so sorry! I pray this will be resolved swiftly so you can return and bring your boy home! Try to let Aaron know what is happening and why, and that it is not your wish to leave without him but you will be back!

  10. Julia, I am so sorry. WE will pray that God will open the doors for you to adopt Aaron...
    the pictures are beautiful and oh, it is so heartbreaking to hear about his world. God brought you there for a reason and we pray ultimately it is for Aaron's adoption.
    God bless you and keep you

  12. Praying for the Redeemer to show himself strong against an already defeated enemy.

    Do not move an ancient landmark
    or enter the fields of the fatherless,
    for their Redeemer is strong;
    he will plead their cause against you.
    Proverbs 23:10

    And ...

    Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
    lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;
    his name is the Lord;
    exult before him!
    Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
    is God in his holy habitation.
    God settles the solitary in a home;
    he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
    but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

    O God, when you went out before your people,
    when you marched through the wilderness, Selah
    the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain,
    before God, the One of Sinai,
    before God, the God of Israel.
    Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad;
    you restored your inheritance as it languished;
    your flock found a dwelling in it;
    in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy.
    Psalm 68:4-10

    Lord, rain your peace upon this family. With your mighty right arm establish Aaron as their son.

    The Lord bless you and keep you
    The Lord make his face shine upon you
    And give you peace ... forever
    Numbers 6:22-27

  18. Hearing your hearts and the pain of circumstances that are not in your control or even seemingly cared about by those who must act to change the situations. We pour out our hearts to Him with you as we put our hope in the ONE WHO RULES over all things.
    So good to be anchored in the Truth of the Word as you face the tangible that battles against you in the moment. The enemy doesn't want to release anyone but the One who binds the strong man is on our side. May He give you grace to rejoice and sing in the midst of this heart-wrenching trial and pray into reality the Kingdom.
    Praying grace, strength, faith, hope, and peace in the confidence that you are surrendering all of yourselves and Aaron into His hands and NOT a system...
    Standing on what He has already said and led you into dear ones, Sharon

  20. Urgh. My heart is sick for you during these moments. I'm so sorry!

    With that said, I have SUCH GREAT HOPE for what is in store in Aaron's homecoming. There is always a battle surrounding adoption -- the enemy doesn't like it. God will win. He has won. I can't wait to see how He works this out.
