Candy for Mom

When Ben and Elijah were little we happily dressed them up each year, took them out to the neighbors on our road and to the local church for the annual Trunk or Treat party for one reason and for one reason only..... The Candy!!

NOT for the boys.

They did NOT eat candy!!

They spit it out.

We took them out for the annual candy fest so we could eat the candy.

Yep.

A bucketful of candy for each boy provided us enough candy to last until Christmas.

Then we could fill up their stockings with all the candy that they DID NOT eat.  That would last us until Easter if we were careful enough.  Easter baskets provided us with our spring/summer supply.....

I'm serious.

It has only been in the recent years that Ben and Elijah would eat candy.  They just plain didn't like it.  Ben now eats candy like a pro but Elijah is still quite picky about what he will eat.....

But he's too old to take to the Trunk and Treat....

Oh My!!!

How will we ever make it until Christmas????

NEVER FEAR... AARON TO THE RESCUE...

Little Man is JUST RIGHT for the candy quest!

BUT...

There is only ONE rather MAJOR problem for Rob and I this year....

Aaron not only likes to put the candy in his bucket just like Ben and Elijah did....

HE ALSO LIKES TO EAT IT!!!!

Sigh!!

  1. Haha! Thats so funny. Last year I took my 9 month old out everyone gave us suckers because thats what they thought he could have. The smart houses asked me what I wanted because they knew who the candy was really for ;)

  2. LOL poor you! Too funny!!! My 3 little ones raked in 4.5 grocery sacks full and when I say full I mean we had to double bag them due to weight!
