Should We Tell?

Should we tell????

Aaron was here last year for Christmas but because he was still in survival mode, most of what took place didn't register.  His memories from last year involve lights, trees and..... not much else.

HE DOESN'T REMEMBER THE PART ABOUT THE PRESENTS.

It is actually kind of funny because he has been going google-eyed over the Toys R US catalog - letting us know that Aaron needs EVERYTHING in that book.  But he's focused on us getting him those things for his BIRTHDAY.

Since his 7th birthday in August was his 1st birthday - he has NO IDEA how birthdays are spaced.  How do you explain a year to a seven year old whose English is still in the early stages??  We have explained it by telling him that everyone in the family has to have a birthday BEFORE he can have his birthday again.  HMMMM..... Just about every day he goes through the list of birthdays that must take place before his birthday is going to come around again.

It is agony for our little guy.

He doesn't realize that presents go under the Christmas tree.

He doesn't realize that he is going to get to open presents at Christmas.

Should we tell him????

-----------------------------

This morning I find myself struggling to focus.  A little girl across the ocean's life is hanging in the balance.

 Lucy

You see her family is over there trying to get her.  They originally committed to two sweet little boys...

Levi and Shawn

But the Lord tapped on their hearts and they decided to add Lucy.

But she is not a shoe-in.

She is not in the same orphanage as the boys and at the new SDA the rules seem to have changed and they were not allowed to piggy back her appointment with the boys.  So even though they are there and want all three children - they may not get Lucy if they can't get an appointment.

So I'm whispering prayers for them.  Will you join me?  I can't stand the thought of Lucy being left behind.

UPDATE:  THEY GOT THEIR APPOINTMENT!!!  PRAISE GOD!!  KEEP PRAYING AS THEY WORK TO BRING ALL THREE HOME!!

$5334.00 has come in for our Passed Over Babes.

WOO HOO!!

Only three of our Babes are now under the 500.00 mark.  When we started almost ALL of our babes were well under $500.00.  Think we can get them over that hurdle today???

Paul only needs $98.00 to get to $500.00
Nikita only needs $50.00 to get to $500.00
Yegor only needs 5.00 dollars to get to $500.00

I'd LOVE to see all 13 children jump the $500.00 wall.

  8. Maybe drop a few hints - that Santa will fill his stocking - and that there may be a few surprises, and that people who love each other exchange presents, just as the Wise Men gave presents to Baby Jesus long ago.

Will Aaron be giving gifts to his big brothers?

It's going to be hard to keep this one secret until the big day, but it's going to be unforgetable this year, no matter what you decide!

  12. I too, have been praying for Lucy and family. Oh how I know it will hurt if they must leave without her.

Someone should try to locate a Leapfrog LeapPad to auction off for a fundraiser. My grandson wants one and they are apparently the hot toy this season. I have searched near and far in my area for one with no luck. Just a thought that might bring in some money for a precious child.
