A Crazy World

I wrote this on Facebook yesterday but it begs repeating today....

Into the middle of a crazy world they flew... to rescue a boy who changed his mind.

  If that isn't a God-story... I don't know what is...

This my dear friends is Nathaniel Emir Rowe with his very own Mama and Papa!!!!!

Oh they still need our prayers! They couldn't bring him home this trip because of the 10 day waiting period.  He is currently in the area of that country where military trucks from another country are crossing the border at will.  It is ugly.  So please pray for him!  Pray for the political situation.  It is volatile. It is one thing for protesters to rise up in their own country begging for change... it is a whole other ball game when another country bullies their way into the mess.

-------------------------------------

As of last night, Elizabeth was home, tucked under her own covers.  She is battling sepsis but home is safer than the hospital at this point because of her immune system.  Please please pray for her.  I was able to chat for a teeny tiny minute last night to tell her how we are doing with the BIG GIVEAWAY.  She was so glad to hear the report.....

It's a crazy world we live in.  A world of sickness and bullies and orphans and sin and sorrow.

Yet into our crazy world God came crashing in... before we even knew we needed Him.

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Every day he comes crashing in.  Calling out our names.  Whispering love and forgiveness into our hearts.

To rescue us.

Emir Nathaniel.  Luke.

Their stories give us a glimpse into the greatest story ever told.

Jesus.
