I'm glad it wasn't farewell forever - no Rainbow Bridge for Lucy for many, many happy days yet to come - and that she is now loved by two families, but I know Lucy is missed - our animal friends can wrap themselves right around our hearts.

Hugs all round. Some to Lucy and her new family, too.

Susan in KentuckyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297657180254499319.post-14430749931643194012020-01-14T13:48:09.765-05:002020-01-14T13:48:09.765-05:00I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye! We had a couple of years when we were devoted to efforts to rehome a dog. We tried three times and failed three times. Each time was hard and two of the three times we could have written your story above almost verbatim. Doesn't make it any easier, but hope that you know that there are others who feel your pain and support your decision. Thinking of all of you as you transition to a life without Lively Lucy. Hopefully there is another furry friend in your family's future that will work out better.
