Flu Woes

Forgive my lack of posting... Mama is still sick.

I was supposed to travel to Lancaster, PA for a Christian School Convention tomorrow to share about BiblioPlan.  While there, I was also going to see two very special little girls....

Verity and Katie.  Sisters.  You may not recognize the one in the blue.  That's Katie.  Remember Katie??

The little one who was rescued out of a laying down room.

Look at her now!!!

God is good!!

And not only was I going to get to see sweet Verity and Katie...

But I was also going to get to see another very special treasure.

My sweet Nithya.

In 2008 I had the privilege of traveling to India to help my friend Karen bring Nithya home and I was going to get to see her!!

I am so bummed.

Being sick stinks!!

It is also very very miserable....

  2. Blah! I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well and are going to miss out on the convention and seeing some precious girls. :( Nithya looks like quite the princess, and I know I would have been absolutely thrilled to death to meet Verity and Katie. How disappointing!
Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery,
    Carol

  3. Oh, Julia. I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine your disappointment. Praying for our great Healer to touch your body and make you well. I'm also praying He will encourage your heart, like only He can.

  4. I am so sorry that you are sick. As someone who just had strep and less than 3 weeks later spent another 4 days in bed with a different sore throat and severe sinus infection, I salute you. (not trying to top you, just getting into your boat with you. No one else will, you are sick!) I have a lot to do, but nothing compared to you. I pray your homeschool curriculum takes off quickly. I know you have put your heart and soul into it, and I am certain it is superior quality.
    Hang in there Lady!
Lord, heal your humble servant Julia. Amen

  5. I am so sorry you are still sick, Julia. I have missed really important events because of Joshua being in the hospital, so I can relate to the disappointment you're feeling. I'm truly sad for you and I pray God will make a way for you to go to PA when you're feeling better. (((hugs)))

  10. I can't believe Katie is the same child, she looks so good now!

Here is my favourite recipe for when I'm ill, it's Chinese chicken and rice soup. http://yongtze.typepad.com/high_fidelity/2007/08/chicken-congee-.html

Also I think I saw your Biblioplan books in a home-school room on the TV!
