Spoiled Rotten

Most children get buckets of candy on Halloween.  Not Aaron.  He gets a John Deere Tractor.

On Halloween we went to a Trunk and Treat party at a local church.  Set up in the parking lot of the church was a collection of old-fashioned metal cars for the children to ride.  Aaron went nuts.  He was so excited about those cars he could barely contain himself.  He wasn't able to pedal them but he was thrilled to sit in them and to push them around the parking lot.

The ONE vehicle he could ride (though pedaling it is still tough for his little legs) was a child's antique pedal John Deere Tractor.  The look on his face when we sat him on it was priceless.  He was so beyond happy, that the owner of the collection GAVE AARON THE TRACTOR.  I was stunned and refused to outright take such a valuable gift.  We are borrowing it until Aaron outgrows it.  Then we will return it to the collection.  It is now on our wrap-around porch and Aaron gets to pedal it to his heart's delight.

Life is good.

P.S. He did get candy in his bucket too.  Life is really good!

Since Aaron has been sick this week and it has been raining and nasty outside, I was unable to take a picture of him on his John Deere until now which is why this post is a  bit late!

  5. He looks so happy...my heart is full just looking at his picture. And I just have to say again...he looks like your biological child. I'm sure everyone tells you that, but I just had to say it again cause these pictures just seem like you have been together forever :)

  9. If Aaron is anything like my son was at that age then he must feel like he has died and gone to heaven! Reading your posts makes me think we really need another little boy around my house.

  11. My daughter got one for her bday :) She's too small to get on and off of it, but she crawls as fast as she can to it everytime we go out on the porch. Aaron's face says it all in the first pic ^_^
