Out the Door

We could really use some prayer right now in our house.

I came home from a wonderful  but exhausting homeschooling convention (all of you wonderful people who stopped by our tiny little booth and tried to cram in or were stuck on the outside... next year BIBLIOPLAN is getting TWO booths because THAT was crazy!!)... and am packing for Aaron and me to race out the door again this morning for Delaware.

My sweet husband is still pretty sick.  PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM.  Leaving him for another 5 days is ripping my heart out.

My sweet Elijah is heading for camp this week.  He's a counselor in training at Boy Scout camp this summer and will be gone for the next 3 weeks except for Saturday nights.  Then he is home for a week and then will be gone again.  I'M GRIEVING THAT REALITY.  I am NOT a mom who likes my boys to be  gone...EVER.   I just can't stand the thought of not seeing his sweet face every day and listening to his discussions on... well....okay... most of the time I don't understand what he is discussing!!  He talks about stuff that is WAY OVER MY HEAD!! But I am going to miss him!  Oh I just can't stand the thought!!!

Please pray for Aaron.  He's going to be going through some stuff this week and Papa won't be with us.  Aaron LOVES his Papa as do I and in times like this... well... the steady presence of the sweetest man in the world is  going to press hard on both of us.  I will share more about what is happening with Aaron in another post!

  1. Oh, my life just keeps going on and on and on, doesn't it? With its joys and troubles, rewards and frustrations...hang on and keep on hanging on.

Seeing your children grow up and stretch (but never break!) those bonds of family closeness can be bittersweet, but of course, logically, you'd never have it any other way. Emotionally is another story entirely! The Scouts are lucky to have Elijah - I am absolutely sure he's a great counselor>

I do hope both Aaron and his dad are soon back to their usual levels, in whichever ways that may apply, and that the Philly trip goes well and results in improved function and mobility for your little guy. He's a brave boy!
