Reminders of His Presence

Yesterday my dear friend from Reece's Rainbow - Lu - popped up on my chat to ask me if I wanted the Mulligan Stew link at the top of my blog and the grab button so people can put the Mulligan Stew link on their blogs.

Her timing was amazing.  I was in the usual PANIC MODE after posting the Giveaway and of course told her this and she of course told me that I said the same thing last year and I of course said this is bigger and she of course went about her business of getting stuff fixed up on my blog.

I didn't quite get pulled out of my funk but having her bustling around my blog and quietly taking care of business ministered deeply to my spirit.

As the day went on I saw the stew being shared near and far. 

Each share was precious.

No we didn't raise a boatload of money in the last 24 hours. 

My Giveaways are rarely the miraculous 'thousands pour in in a single night' type of Giveaways. 

Most of them are blood, sweat and a whole lot of prayers.

This one is going to be just that.

A whole lot of worry and nail biting and praying and believing that God is going to stir in hearts.

He already has.

This morning when I got up - whispering prayers and biting a few nails - I received several private messages.  Messages that were reminders of God's Presence as we do this.

There is a woman in In*ia who ministers to the Least of These.  I'm sure she is overwhelmed with the needs of the orphans around her all day every day.  I'm sure every single nickel she has goes to caring for those orphans. 

Despite this - yesterday -  SHE GAVE OUT OF HER OWN POCKET - she gave to one of our families.  She blessed them for stepping out in faith.

That just absolutely makes me a mess.  I seriously am bawling as I write.

On top of that - I received another e-mail from a family who will be donating to our Lost Boys.  The Least of the Least.  A few of the boys have families coming - Samuel, Alexei, Heath - But the vast majority have absolutely no hope of ever getting out.  They are precious precious boys who have been abandoned and left to spend their days doing nothing.  

They may be lost but they are not forgotten.

Over $700.00 came in yesterday.

OUR 2013 MICAH SIX EIGHT MULLIGAN STEW GIVEAWAY!

"A Common Stew for an Uncommonly Good Cause!"

Our Mulligan Stew is a tasty community stew that will feed a whole host of orphans, because a whole host of Godly people from the adoption community threw a whole host of great ingredients into our stew pot.

There are more than 100 items simmering away in our stew pot. The total value of all of these items is well over $5,000.00. Every single one of these donated items has been accompanied by whispered prayers that God will multiply the gift.

Our stew's been simmering for several weeks now. We've been praying for the Lord's blessing on this meal.

Now we just need YOU to help us care for the orphan.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'"

THESE ARE THE RULES:

Simple Math - Every five dollars donated earns you one entry into our giveaway!!!

To enter, here's what you have to do:

FIRST.... You have to pick at least ONE of the families below and make a donation into their grant account.

SECOND....You have to pick at least ONE of the waiting children below and make a donation into their grant account.

THIRD... You have to leave a comment WITH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME letting me know which of the families you donated to and which of the waiting children. Make sure to give me the total amount donated (I will NOT publish this if you ask me not to).


THAT'S IT.... YOU ARE OFFICALLY ENTERED WITH JUST THOSE TWO DONATIONS...

We will let it be between you and the Lord the size of your gift.

BUT DON'T STOP THERE....

FOURTH.... You will also earn one entry for each additional family and/or waiting child you donate to. For example, a $50 donation spread among 3 families and 2 waiting children earns you 15 entries: 50/5 = 10 entries for the money, and 1 entry each for the families/children! So spread the love around!!!!

FIFTH.... You also get entries if you donate to the Lost Boys through Harvest International. Directions are below - All the money donated to the Lost Boys will be used by the ministry team to cover expenses (gas and craft supplies) and to buy much needed supplies for the Boys. In the past we have helped buy diapers, food, drinks, medical supplies, air conditioners and much much more.
