“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.”
Faithful friend.
Each time life knocks Aaron down... He grabs his Pooh bear and gets right back up again.
When things get hard.... Pooh is always... always by his side...
And since he's a very useful bear....
He not only is a wonderful companion to have around...
He also makes a great prop for a very heavy arm cast.
So if you happen to see our littlest in the next few days or so...
You will most likely see Pooh with him...
Hanging out under Aaron's arm....
Faithful to the end.
We are jumping for joy that our son is slowly slowly starting to feel better...
He is being slow and careful and doing quiet sort of things right now like drawing and reading and watching movies...
Pooh doesn't mind.
He's that kind of bear...

“What I like doing best is Nothing."
"How do you do Nothing," asked Pooh after he had wondered for a long time.
"Well, it's when people call out at you just as you're going off to do it, 'What are you going to do, Christopher Robin?' and you say, 'Oh, Nothing,' and then you go and do it.
It means just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering."
"Oh!" said Pooh.”

Am I imagining it, or is Aaron standing nice and tall next to the sofa there? How are his legs doing?
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my dolls when I was little...actually (Ssh!), when I'm home, still...especially my doll Anne. She was, and is, my favorite; my "go-everywhere" friend; etc.

As sweet as it can be. So happy Aaron is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteAaron even looks like Christopher Robin! How perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a very loved best friend. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat special friend did your other boys have?
Have you discovered the dutton easy reader versions of pooh? Faithful to the original story, with original illustrations, and just right for the younger crowd. Sending love to sweet Aaron.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this!!! So adorable!! And I'm glad to hear Aaron is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteIt also reminds me that I need to pull out our AA Milne books for my little ones. They'll make nice summer read alouds. :)
