Pies for Jacob

DON'T TAKE OUR PICTURE!!!!

WHATEVER...

We're just hanging around...

Ben and Elijah are enjoying their last days of summer... Aaron is adjusting to a new norm... all day school!!

I'll share more on that another day.

In the meantime....

You see this little guy??

This is Jacob and he has been offered a TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR MATCHING GRANT.

After Jacob was offered this matching grant...  a bunch of crazy Jacob lovers set out to get him to that 2,000.00 mark. They agreed to take pies in the face each time his grant account reached a milestone.  So far THREE pies have been thrown. But despite their best efforts..they fell short.  The grant was SUPPOSED to end yesterday.  They had only raised $440.00.

Ugh!

Fortunately the donor is granting them ONE MORE WEEK.

Jacob gets a reprieve.

HE NEEDS $1639.00.

Did you read that? Twelve people are willing to take a pie in the face to get this baby boy noticed.  LOOK AT HIM.  He's just a little guy.  He's got so much potential.  He's only a year and a half old.

Will you help these crazy Jacob lovers to raise the 2,000 so his grant account will have FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS IN IT?  That is a huge grant account.  That could make the difference for a family who is wanting to cliff jump but afraid of the financial burden.

PLEASE.....

Four Met Their Match!!!

I couldn't sleep last night.  I've got much on my mind... the to-do list keeps getting longer...my house is completely out of order... deadlines are looming and there are just not enough hours in the day.

So I got up early to work and think and pray.

I'll be honest.  When I wrote the blogpost yesterday I didn't have a lot of hope that it would amount to much. I even wrote that to the person who helped me put it together.  I just spent last weekend begging for funds for families and here I am again begging for funds.  I tend to lose followers on the blog whenever I push for funds so THAT was what I was expecting.

So when I sat down tired and bleary-eyed at the computer early this morning, and I went to check grants, I did so with little hope....  WOO HOO!! I was blown away to discover that FOUR of the matching grants were met through the night.

FOUR OUT OF TWELVE MET!!

Whoever you are that donated to those four to get their matching grants met... You made me shout for joy!!

THANK YOU!!

Here's how the matching grants stand.  If you want to make me shout for joy again tomorrow morning... I will NOT complain!!!

Updates

UPDATE ON SELAH
PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!!!
Selah's heart rate continues to be high and her blood pressure won't stay in the normal range, it goes a bit too high at times. Please pray that this will stabilize quickly! Pray that she will begin to respond on a consistent basis to the neurological tests. We are crying out to God from the depth of our beings for our precious little girl. She has been such a blessing and joy to our lives these past few months, she fit into our family like she had always been with us. We didn't have one major issue with her adjustment and we love our little LaLa. Please ask God to be merciful to our family and to heal our child. Although she has only been with us a few months, she is our child and I can't imagine life without her!

UPDATE ON CONNER
Conner is doing great and you can read more about how he is doing HERE!!! He is still in the hospital so keep on praying!!  THANK YOU FOR STORMING HEAVEN FOR THIS PRECIOUS RR TREASURE!!

UPDATE ON NIKITA
Please keep praying!!
MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just saw posts from some friends asking about Nikita- was about to call his mom Sasha and our doorbell rang- it was her husband, Victor, delivering some stuff for the handyman tonight. I asked how Nikita was doing and he told me some info then called Sasha and handed me the phone. THEY ARE ECSTATIC- the doctor just called not 10 minutes ago and said NIKITA WOKE UP and opened his eyes and said "Call me a taxi I'm ready to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!" They are headed to the hospital now to see their precious boy!!!!!!!!!!

6 days ago the doctors said he likely would not live. If he did, he would have major issues. Now, in less than a week, he is awake and asking for home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep praying friends- it's not over yet. Pray that the doctors and nurses and everyone involved recognizes that this is a MIRACLE from the LORD- that HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE AND HEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prayer matters.

Keep praying church.

Please Keep Praying!!

This is the most updated report from Yvonne about both Sam and Selah....

UPDATE from Yvonne around 5:30pm Thursday evening-
Update...Sam is completely back to normal but they are keeping him till tomorrow. Selah is still fighting! The doctor that told us yesterday that she would not make it at all said today that she may make it but will not be "Selah" meaning she has so much brain damage... We need PRAYER! Pray that her heart rate will come down to a normal level of 60-100, she is at 150 and pray that she will take more breathes on her own. Pray that she will not get any infections or fevers. Please pray for our sweet girl and for the rest of the family.

Please pray.

Praying for Selah

I was going to share pictures this morning of Aaron's first day at school.  But this is more important.  This little Reece's Rainbow precious treasure came home from across the ocean last winter.  She's been in a horrible accident and needs our prayers.

The family lives in Florida but are currently in New York for medical treatment for the children.  Yesterday, while Yvonne was in the hospital with some of the kids, Jon took two of the babes (Sam and Selah) on a walk along the Erie Canal.  Unfortunately the stroller the two kids were in  rolled off the walkway and into the Erie Canal when Jon was checking to see what time it was on his phone.  He immediately jumped in after them but both kids were buckled in the stroller. The Canal is swift and the current strong.  Jon had to fight just to hold the stroller up and was only able to get Sam above water.  Someone jumped in, got Sam unbuckled and got him out.  Another person jumped in to help Jon get the stroller with Selah out of the water.  They did rescue breathing on Selah until help arrived.  Sam is okay but Selah is not expected to live.  PLEASE PRAY.  Pray for Selah.  Pray for Yvonne and Jon as they are in shock and terror.  Pray church.  Pray.

The family blog is HERE.  Please  go over and let the family know you are praying.

Wild Wednesday

OH DEAR FRIENDS IT IS A WILD ONE FOR SURE.... JUST LOOK AND SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE!!

Samantha is free!!

Another Plev*n Mulligan Stew babe has passed through the gates forever!!

Praise God!! Praise God!!

.... And look at Lyla....

For two weeks she has had her Mama and Papa visit her and LOOK AT HER!!  She is holding her head up.  She is transforming right before our very eyes.  Love Wins.  Every Time!

And get this...

WE SCREAMED AND YELLED FOR BERNADETTE.  HER CHANCES OF BEING ADOPTED WERE SLIM TO NONE.  SHE WAS AGING OUT AND GOING TO BE SENT AWAY FOREVER.....

BUT PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD!!

These two babes are ORPHANS NO MORE.. The judge said YES.

Bernadette (Jessica Dorothy) and Mason (Caleb Elijah).... You are soon on your way home!!

Bernadette's smile says it all.  This is why we keep on keeping on people... so treasures like these are found!

(The Rogers are STILL SHORT on funds.  Please CLICK HERE if you can help)

BUT THAT IS NOT ALL...

TEARS ARE FLOWING FREELY HERE PEOPLE...

REMEMBER LAUREL?

SHE MET HER FAMILY!!

ISN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL...WHAT MORE CAN I SAY!! OH LAUREL... I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!

Older children have to agree that they want to be adopted.

HERE IS LAUREL SIGNING THAT SHE WANTS A FAMILY!!!

When you guys hear her story... what she has come through... You are going to weep!!  You are going to be blown away by God's goodness.  You are going to want to keep on doing orphan ministry because it is worth it!!!

This picture just plain makes me a puddle of tears on the floor!!

God is so good!!

And not only that... but TYLER met his family too.

AND HE TOO HAS SAID YES!!

YES TO HOME.  YES TO PARENTS. YES TO A NEW LIFE!!

BUT I'M NOT EVEN DONE BECAUSE GUESS WHO SHOWED UP ON THE MY FAMILY FOUND ME PAGE????

THEY ARE GOING TO BE BROTHERS...

Wait till you hear this story!!!

I can't stop the tears.

I can't tell you how grieved I have been this past week over these two boys.

BUT GOD!!

And Faithful Families!!

When we think that we just can't give anymore. When we become so discouraged because the mountains seem too high to climb....

GOD BLESSES US WITH REMINDERS OF WHY WE ARE DOING WHAT WE ARE DOING.

All special needs kids.  All found.

To God be the Glory!!

MY CUP OVERFLOWS!!

Let us NOT become weary in doing good because at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!!!
