- Relief is spending 18 hours traveling to and from Philadelphia for a brace adjustment and yet your son walks in the door smiling at the end of the day.
- Relief is pulling the blue straps to the black line without a flinch
- Relief is riding in the Shriner's van with braces that DON'T HURT!
- Relief is a GPS system that is able to tell you about the 40 minute traffic delay up ahead so you can adjust your homeward route
- Relief is watching your son remove the bandaid that was placed on Pooh's foot weeks ago (when we first got the braces) with a happy pronouncement that "Pooh's foot not hurt anymore".
- Relief is adding the second layer of blue straps and watching your son drift off to sleep pain free
- Relief is knowing this morning that though I am completely exhausted - it was a trip worth making.
We cannot begin to express our gratitute to the Shriner's for all they are doing for our little guy. The sacrifice, kindness and care they give to us and to Aaron is unbelievable. We are beyond grateful.
So happy to see Aaron's smiling face! That is wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy! Ah relief! You are blessed!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to read this post and see the pics of Aaron's wonderful smile!! :) The sun is shining here and it's wonderful to have so much to feel grateful for, and now I can add Aaron's relief to that list. Hope you all have a fantastic day!
ReplyDeleteim happy you are happy but worried because he is barefoot in the braces in the photos. I am convinced it was the thickness of the socks that made it TOO tight because they did the adjustments barefoot. hope that things stay happy for you
ReplyDeleteSo glad for your sweet boy. No more tears, Aaron, at least not over the braces anyway... Hope you are all feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove finds a way,
Reneee

ReplyDeleteHurray!!! Relieved here, too. I was worried about those sores and the pain they caused.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if the tears rolling down my face are the happy tears I feel for you because your son looks so much at peace or the sad tears I have because of the realization that my husband is not going to change his mind anytime soon about us adopting from EE. Either way,God is good and I feel fortunate to share in your journey.
ReplyDeleteI Love Aaron's vibrant expressions! I hope we can meet up at Shriners some day. Glad this was a positive visit for you all.
