Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost!
Praise God for answered prayer. And if you want proof that your prayers were effective, then listen to what the judge said to us in her office after a grueling 5-hour court session:
“If God led you to adopt this child, then God led me to decide in your favor.”
We would not have believed that such a thing could come out of her mouth, especially not after the way she grilled us both. But when she took off her court robes, we could see the cross hanging around her neck underneath.
By decree of the court, Aaron Vanya Nalle will be our son effective September 20, 2010. Praise the Lord!
We have much to write but will reserve it for a later blog as we are beyond exhausted at this point. We have this to share: This morning, just before we left for court, after hours of pacing, praying, practicing and reminding each other of Scriptures of hope, we checked our e-mail one last time. Here is what a dear Reece’s Rainbow friend wrote to us for our time in court:
“If you could turn around in your seat and look behind you, you'll see hundreds of bowed heads, all of ours praying for you.”
We read those words and cried. What a beautiful picture. Based on our blog counter numbers over the last 24 hours before court, we knew that it was more like thousands of bowed heads before the throne. So when we walked into the courtroom this morning, we whispered to each other, “look for the bowed heads.”
Dear friends, we really believe that this judge would not have granted this adoption without your bowed heads. We are fairly sure that she was inclined against us at the beginning of the day. During the noon break, our facilitator Luda was preparing us for either a “no” or another delay. She was actually hoping for the “no” because she planned on appealing to a higher court, and that would have been quicker than returning to this judge again and again. Luda was pretty confident that the higher court would pass us without trouble, but it would have meant another long wait. All we could do was whisper prayers. And God heard.
We will fill you in with more details from the court circus over the coming days. For now, the most important thing is this little fellow.
WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF OUR NEWEST FAMILY MEMBER, AARON VANYA NALLE
THANK YOU JESUS!

The tears are pouring down my face...tears of joy and happiness...Aaron is lost no more :) I can barely wait till the girls are home from school to tell them the GLORIOUS news!
ReplyDeleteO God, our heavenly Father, we thank thee and praise thy glorious Name, that thou hast been pleased to bless these thy servants and to bestow upon them the gift of a child. Grant we beseech thee, most Merciful Father, that they may diligently lead this child in the way of righteousness, to their own great blessing and the glory of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Unto God's gracious mercy and protection, we commit you. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace both and evermore.

What a wonderful God we have. I too have been praying for you. The vision of the bowed heads, praying, behind you was a beautiful picture to behold. Did Aaron have to say anything? The judge's cross said a lot and she gave you a chance to show your faith to her and because of that faith another child was given a family. Praise God!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! We can't wait to see your family all together again!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!!!!! He does answer prayer!!! I'm so happy for you and for Aaron. I prayed for you last night before going to bed. In the night I thought of it again and prayed some more -- I assumed it was over by then, but I guess it probably wasn't since court lasted 5 hours. What a relief to know that Aaron is safely yours!
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless in all the final details and paperwork and bring you all safely home in the shortest time possible!
God Bless,

ReplyDeleteTears of joy and thankfulness flowed as I read about Aaron on Linny's blog. Our God is amazing and forever worthy of praise! I rejoice with you and thank God for bringing Aaron to his forever family! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteI connected with your blog through Linny's blog. The Lord moved through the Judge and she let you know when she took off her robe. I am sure you understand the grilling was in response to the terrible action by one person.
ReplyDeleteAs Linny says - "Yippee Jesus!"
I went back a few posts to read about Aaron and want to tell you about an exceptional student that I taught. This was a girl who has his same disability (in a regular classroom). While in second grade her braces on her legs were removed and her adopted mother bought her 5 pairs of shoes ... all the ones she ever wanted. They took her to Shriner's in KY and there was nothing they could do for her arms as the muscles were missing (that they could have used to give her mobility). She raised her leg to answer questions, taught her to write cursive (standing up using her body to move her arm/hand),and was always smiling. She won the "I Can" award from President Reagan. In Kindergarten she colored and wrote with her feet. I am telling you all of this to reinforce the knowledge that you have that Aaron "Can Do". Oh, the most important fact I left out ... she went to East Tennessee State University! She also married. I have no doubt that all of this will be possible for Aaron.
God Bless and keep you through this amazing journey.
Praise the Lord for His marvelous favor!!!!
