I Wooked and Wooked

Yesterday I took Elijah to a Boy Scout project... Aaron was still in bed.

When I came back Aaron was standing downstairs watching me as I came in the house.  He was obviously sad.  I picked him up into my arms and he wrapped his little body around me and said...

"Aaron wooked and wooked to find his Mama to tell her hewo dis mornin and Aaron was so sad."

Melt my heart. Leave me a blubbering mess on the floor!

I posted the story on Facebook and thought about it all day yesterday.

He wooked and wooked.

Wooking for his Mama.

Layers upon layers of reality in his simple sentence.

To even consider the depth of meaning behind his words makes me shut down.  I can't consider how many years Aaron stood alone wooking and wooking to find his Mama.

I just can't let my mind go there.

This little guy - Jack - Is looking and wondering about his Mama.  Dear Jack.   I wish I could answer that she is coming.  Jack, I wish with all my heart a Mama would go get you.

The little ones below.  They are still wooking.  They are still wondering.  They are still watching and waiting and longing for a Mama to come and grab them up in their arms so they can wrap themselves into her and tell her that they wooked and wooked for her.  Faithfully looking.  Faithfully waiting. Faithfully believing.

The simple desires of a child's heart.  To be loved.  To be wanted.  To be cared for by a Mama and a Papa.

They have no idea as they lay in their cribs alone and lonely, wooking and waiting for their Mama, that across the ocean 68 loving people have dug deep into their pockets to give them hope.  68 people have given in love so that somewhere a Mama and Papa will bravely step forward to cross that ocean for them.

Dear Friends, a total of $2,118.00 has been raised for the Passed Over Kids.

But our work is not even close to being done...

Some of the Passed Over Babes have had some SERIOUS money donated in the last few days.

Some others continue to be PASSED OVER...

Yegor, Arina, Paul and Nikita....

They NEED OUR HELP.... Please consider donating to those four.  Help their grant accounts rise.  Their chances of finding a family are SO SLIM because their pictures are seriously bad.
I've again updated the numbers....

The Angel Tree goal is to get each of their accounts above $1,000.00.

The real goal is to give these kids a voice and to raise enough in their grant accounts so that a family will not have money stand in their way.  Every single donation helps.  Every single time you share about them helps.  Please don't neglect the sharing part.  Feature ONE or TWO of the kids on your blog.  Help people SEE past their pictures.

  4. ironic timing since ben thought I abandoned him at shriners yesterday. I took sophie in to xray and said you wait here and watch mickey mouse. but he wasnt paying attention and when I came back he was sobbing, all alone with his blanket. he said I thought you left me. I promised him I would ALWAYS find him no matter WHERE he is. this abandonment feeling runs deep in these kids. they were literally thrown away! how could they not worry that it will happen again. Aaron is so much like Ben, such a sensitive little boy. If I could wave a magic wand, all the kids would have a permanent home. kids should not have to worry about their MAMA leaving them behind! it just isnt right and its so unfair that they were put in such a position.

Loving words from kind people make our hearts glad!
