Don't Pack Your Bags...

UPDATE AT 1:00 PM - WINNERS HAVE BEEN PICKED FOR THE GIVEAWAY INSIDE A GIVEAWAY BUT PLEASE KEEP DONATING!!!  We have now raised $44,751.16.

Go HERE to see the winner's list!

What a wild ride this Mulligan Stew Giveaway has been! This was our original idea for the Mulligan Stew:

We knew that cooking alone can leave a lot of poor people lonely and hungry...

But we also knew that if everyone added a little something to the stewpot to create a big Mulligan Stew...

Then we could feed a whole lot of people with a little bit of food.

So we all brought our little offerings....

And we prayed God's blessing over them....

Asking God to multiply our simple gifts....

So that those in desperate need....

would have their fill.

AND GOD HAS.

God has fed so many orphans, families and Lost Boys through our Mulligan Stew that it is going to take weeks to clean up all of the dishes.

He has blessed this Giveaway beyond our wildest dreams.

AND IT ISN'T OVER YET. So please don't pack your bags to go home.

Although, amazingly, we have already reached all of our unspoken goals for the Mulligan Stew orphans and their families....

WE STILL HAVE ONE MORE DAY LEFT IN THIS GIVEAWAY.

It is NOT over.

The needy are STILL being served.

We still have food in the pot.

And two of our orphans are in desperate need of families.

SO WE PRESS ON!

We are not ending early!  We are not closing down shop.  We are not clearing the table.

LAUREL AND HARMONY NEED FAMILIES.

They need families NOW.

The Heim family still needs to raise about $27,000.00.

They gave up their remaining portion of the stew over the last few days so that the rest of the families could get their fill.  We still have one more day to bless the Heims.

We have Six other babes who NEED FAMILIES too:  Jack. Hanson. Heath. Emmitt.  Igor. Victoria.

And the eight families from Katie's orphanage still need our continued prayers, donations and support.

ONE MORE DAY.

If you haven't entered to win an iPad 3rd Generation, Kindle Fire or a whole host of other amazing prizes (90 total - see list below) then donate today. If you donate BEFORE 12:00 noon today, (Virginia time) then you will also be entered to win one of the 26 prizes in our Giveaway Inside a Giveaway (see list below).

SO COME ON...Roll up your sleeves....don an apron...

WE ARE NOT DONE SERVING STEW!!

Fun Friday: A Giveaway Inside a Giveaway!

10:05 AM UPDATE....THE BROWNS ARE OVER THE WALL!!!
2:06 PM UPDATE... THE MENGES ARE OVER THE WALL!!!
7:46 PM UPDATE... THE UNROES ARE OVER THE WALL!!

GOD WON.

As of Wednesday morning, our Mulligan Stew Giveaway still needed $7,600.00 to get all eight families from Katie's former orphanage over our $2,000.00 wall.

As of Thursday morning, when we announced the Laurel and Harmony Challenge, we needed $6,105.00.

AS OF FRIDAY MORNING,

Here's Where We Stand:

We have $0 left to raise!

ALL THE FAMILIES ARE OVER THE WALL!!

The Unroe family - $2000 + raised - OVER THE WALL!!

The Carpenter family - $2251+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!

The Burman family - $2010+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!

The Menges family  - $2000+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!
The Duncan family - $2140+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!

The Booth family - $2000+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!

The Brown family - $2000+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!
The Archer family - $2030.+ raised - OVER THE WALL!!

In the last 24 hours, we have:

• Raised $5000.00+ for our families from Katie's former orphanage
• Raised ANOTHER $604.00 for the Heim family
• Raised ANOTHER $250 for the Lost Boys
• Boosted Laurel and Harmony's chances of finding families by sharing their stories over and over

Yesterday's giving was so insane that it was hard to keep up with the numbers! What fun!

Watching all of these donations come in has been such a heart-touching experience.  It is such a blessing to watch people sacrifice themselves for the sake of the others.  To see people put their faith into action.  To see believers' hearts broken for the things that break God's heart.

The sweetest part has been to see everyone shouting out the stories of Laurel and Harmony.  Fighting and praying that there would be room at TWO TABLES in TWO HOMES for TWO PRECIOUS GIRLS.

We cannot stop shouting.  We have two more days to get Harmony's story told.  We have two more days to let people know that Laurel should not have to spend the rest of her life sitting in that chair.

SO PLEASE KEEP YELLING AND PLEASE KEEP SHOUTING FOR LAUREL AND HARMONY.

TODAY IS ROB'S BIRTHDAY.  TOMORROW IS ELIJAH'S BIRTHDAY!!  This is a Celebration Weekend at our house!!

Since this is our Celebration Weekend, we've decided to change things up a bit.

We have decided to offer a GIVEAWAY INSIDE A GIVEAWAY!!

An unbelievable number of generous people offered prizes to sweeten this Mulligan Stew Giveaway - so many that even after the Giveaway formally began, prize donations just continued to roll in.  Since it was too complicated to add in new prizes after the Giveaway began, I put these extra prizes on hold - until today.

Our Giveaway Inside a Giveaway runs from now until noon on Saturday. To enter this fun new Giveaway, just do one or more of the following:

1. Make a donation of any size to any child, family or cause on our Mulligan Stew list (see below) anytime between Friday morning and noon on Saturday.
2. Share Harmony's story or Laurel's story on your blog anytime between Friday morning and noon on Saturday and send me the link so I'll know.

For this Giveaway Inside a Giveaway, the rules are simple: one name equals one entry. Everyone who helps out in any of these two ways between now and noon on Saturday is in with a chance to win!

Win what, you ask? Any one of the TWENTY-SIX neat prizes listed at the bottom of this post!  Twenty-six prizes for twenty-six winners!  If you help out today or tomorrow, you stand a really good chance of winning something!! Some of these prizes have been donated by kids with BIG hearts!   There is something for everyone in my pile of goodies.  See below for the list!!!

Of course, donating today or tomorrow will ALSO enter you in our ongoing Mulligan Stew Giveaway, which ends at midnight on Saturday!  Sharing by Facebook or Tweet will still get you double entries.  Blogging will still get you triple entries.  Winning a prize in our Giveaway Inside a Giveaway does NOT remove your name from the Mulligan Stew Giveaway!!

On Sunday, we're going to be drawing winners for our iPad 3, two Kindle Fires and 80+ other fantastic prizes!

So if you haven't donated yet - JOIN IN THE FUN!! And if you have donated - Don't miss out on some great extra prizes!

After that, we'd like you to choose one, two or several more children from the list that you feel led to help.  The number of donations, and the amounts, are totally up to you.  On our sidebar we have a simple point system based on your donations.  Those who share on Facebook, Twitter and their blogs receive entries as well.

When our Mulligan Stew Giveaway ends, we'll choose a winner for each prize by drawing random numbers from random.org. The more entries there are beside your name, the more chances you'll have to win something great!

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

• Use the links to go to the sites where these wonderful adoptive families and children are receiving donations. Follow the directions there to make your generous donations.
• THEN, come back to this blog and leave a comment to let me know the total amount that you donated to ALL of the children and families that you chose to help.  Because I always moderate my comments, I will be able to keep this information private.
• If you prefer not to leave a comment, you can e-mail me at covenantb@yahoo.com.

NOTES:
