I Love...

I can't begin to put into words how much I love this little guy.

I love the sound of his voice when he says Mama.  I love the funny way he dips his head into me for a battering ram style hug.  I love the cute little drop of his head when he is disappointed.  I love his funny hops  when he is overflowing with joy.  I love the way he runs as fast as his legs will go into my arms when I have been away.  I love his giggle and I LOVE his laughter.  I love how he sits and watches Elijah working on all his projects.

I love that his little bottom lip pops out when I have to fuss at him.  I love when he stomps his feet in anger and how he throws back in head in a mini-fit.  I love that he asks for "pop" toast in the morning (peanut butter toast).  I love when he kicks my leg with his foot in church to get my attention.  I love when he leans back deep into my arms when we are reading a book.  I love to see him carry his Pooh Bear down the steps each morning.  I love tucking the same bear into bed with him each night.  I love covering him with kisses while he fights me off.  I love listening to him fuss at his brothers in his native language.  I love his dimples.  I love that he says 'ouch' at all the wrong times.  I love to laugh and tickle and hold my youngest son.  I love watching him play.

I would cross the ocean again to get him.  I love him that much!

P.S. - On Friday, at Shriner's, in the Occupational Therapists waiting room, they had a train table set up with Thomas the Tank Engine trains on it. Aaron loved it and so instead of going back to her office, the OT met with us in the waiting room so that Aaron could enjoy playing at that table.  We decided that we needed to get him a similar table in order to encourage him to use his hands more.  They are expensive.  Yuck.  On Saturday I went to a yard sale and guess what I found... for 5.00... handmade... just right.  How cool is that?

  1. Isn't God's provision just awesome! I love that!!!!
He looks so proud of his table. I also love how the therapist went right out into the waiting area so he could play and work at the same time. :)

  2. I love that Aaron has a mama to love every bit of him! I love that he got his very own train table. (we have a similar one waiting for Axel! I can't wait!) I love that Aaron has big brothers to love on him and teach him how to be the little brother. I love that he gets to express his likes and dislikes now!!! I love that he has a Papa to call his own, who will guide him in the ways of the world, and teach him how to be a man of God. I love God for doing all of this for one little boy. God is SO GOOD!

  3. God loves to bless our children with what they need! Julia, please send me your snail mail addy. We have a HUGE Thomas Fan in his house, and I'm sure Chad (age 5) would love to send Aaron something that is Thomas-themed. ;-)

  6. Oh Julia, seeing this post had me in tears again! Happy tears, of course. =) Seeing him at home with the family, and clearly blossoming is such a delight. We are so thrilled for you all! And what a blessing the Lord provided in the new train table. Isn't it neat that God cares enough about this precious boy to provide even that small thing?

Isn't our God just like that?

I love that God put it in your hearts to do whatever it took to get this little guy into your home!!! I love that you obeyed. I love that he is the blessed recipient of all of you love.

    Once again, I'm smiling.

  10. I love that Aaron always looks SO HAPPY. What a ridiculously huge change in the course of his life to have become a part of your family. And a huge change and blessing to your lives as well. I think God knew what He was doing when He put you all together!

  12. What a huge blessing!! They are expense. My boys have outgrown their wooden trains and they were wanting to get rid of it. Since we are hoping to adopt a little boy, we will be hanging on to it.

  15. Julia,
I love reading your blog! I look forward to checking it daily. I enjoy reading yours more than writing on mine. LOL! Was praying last night for you and your family. Asking the Lord to strengthen you as you endure these uncertain times. They are however, not uncertain to the Lord. Even now, He already knows how He will provide for you!! May the Lord bless you with peace.

  17. I love reading your blog posts - especially when they include pictures of your little man. I love seeing Aaron with his two brothers and thinking about how much God loves making a family. I love getting to learn from your experiences with international adoption, a precious little boy with arthrogryposis, and two bio boys...because God has given and promised us similar gifts....and every time I think about that I am reminded of Our Father's love.

  22. Just so you know, my little boy Dash spotted Aaron's train table and had me put the computer on the table so he could stare at it. He has a Thomas train table of his own but oh how he was eyeing Aarons. I was going to show my Jack the Lego airport post but I might never get my computer back if I do that! :)

  23. He has come SO FAR already!!! You get to love on him now in ways he never would have permitted a few months back!!
And God knows your finances and that you are committed to investing them rather than just spending what you do have on "full price stuff"... I am convinced that He stocks the yard sales near you on purpose with just what He wants you to have!! : )
I love Him and You and Your guys... It was awesome to meet 3 of the 4 with Carrie this summer...next summer we can add Aaron, Chuck and Evan into the mix and really celebrate!! : )
