Time Flies. It goes too fast. I should be rejoicing that my oldest is sixteen but instead I am sad. He's too close to being a man. Dear Lord I am not ready to let him go. My oldest. My firstborn. Gentle Ben.
I agree, he looks like you. Happy birthday Ben. Your mom said some wonderful things about you, and I know that God thinks 10X more good things. I pray that today is all you dreamed of. That "16" brings you everything you hoped it would, and more. I pray for you as you move into this grown up world, you'll remember to turn to keep your eyes on HIM.
What a good looking kid...I mean, man (lol). He really does look like a gentle soul. We have a detached garage with a DALLAS COWBOY apartment above it...he would just love it. They are Sean's most prized possessions. Anyway, you have a beautiful family! I am so happy that Brady and Gavin have found a home! My social worker said that she would approve us for another adoption "after the first of the year" so we are anxiously awaiting to hear from her and meanwhile, my personal burden for Brady has been somewhat cleared. I still think about him daily and it literally took my breath away when I saw he had a family. I am so happy for him (and his new family). Thanks for all you do with your blogging. I look forward to it everyday (even when sometimes it breaks my heart into). Merry Christmas!
He's such a fine young man with a joyful countenance. Oh how fast time goes by Julia. My eldest son is now married with one child and our youngest (9) already looks bigger from seeing him on Skype! Today David and I were counting our blessing. looks like you've got some too! Happy Sixteenth!!
Happy Birthday Ben. Sorry the Cowboys couldn't have given you a better present on Monday night but the Eagles fans sure are happy!!! Perhaps now would be a good time to change allegiances? ha ha When are you going to start driving???
Okay, this makes me want to cry!!! My oldest is 9, but I know that in the twinkling of an eye, he's going to be 16. So bittersweet! Your Ben is such a handsome young man! Love the rocker photos :-)
Happy Birthday, Ben!!! Wow, 16! Julia, I'll pray for you. I'm struggling because Eden will be 5 in February and I wonder where the time went so I know how you feel to an extent. And well, she plays her little pretend electric guitar the same way Ben does lol! :)
LOVE and HUGS to you Julia and BIG Birthday Wishes from us to Ben!
So handsome! He looks so confident and happy. My youngest son turned 16 this fall. It is a difficult age- they are trying so hard to grow up. My oldest is almost 19. Really he is a man but in some ways I am closer to him now since the hormones are calming down! Don't be sad- the next few years are great.
He is very handsome, you're going to have to beat the girls off with a stick. (ugh I'm thinking about my own 1 yo daughter right now, dating. Any chance one of your boys will wait for her???)
He looks like you. What a great boy.
ReplyDeleteHe sure is a good-looking guy!!
ReplyDeleteThat last one is wonderful... Happy Birthday, Cousin!
