Okay - Three posts in one day is an absolute record but this has just been one of those days. We got a call this afternoon that they can do Aaron's surgery TOMORROW. I'm running around like crazy trying to get ready to leave at 1:30 am to get him up there in time. Could definitely use some prayers for our little guy. We are still working out all the details for this trip.
Basically - he is getting his tendons nicked in order for them to stretch. This will allow his feet to fully flatten. It is a GOOD thing to have it this soon because it means a lot less time in casts. It is just a bit of a shock as we were not planning on a trip to Philly this week and we were definitely not planning on surgery this soon! But we would rather do it now than wait until March. Definitely.
So off we go on another Aaron adventure.... praying for dear Masha and Eddie as we go....
Oh poor baby. Is this a heel chord lengthening?
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for both of you!
Never a dull moment huh Julia?

Praying for you guys! You may just make it between snow and ice storms :)
ReplyDeleteGodspeed on your journey! I hope Mr. A can snooze in the back seat en route, and that the worst of the storm is north of Philly...
ReplyDeletePraying for an easy time for all tomorrow, with wonderful results and rapid healing.

God's compassion for this little guys who loves walking and hates casts and being casted... What an incredible "speed up the process" event. Glad they called you at the last minute and you were the ones who could just drop all and come!! Guide the Doctors, Lord, that all will be VERY beneficial for Aaron! : )
ReplyDeleteWill be surrounding your family in love:) Hope that he flies through all of this with ease.
ReplyDeleteLots of prayers coming your way! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that he can have his surgery this soon. Hoping everything works out well, and that the surgery goes well and Aron has a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteI hope it all works out well with the trip. Safe travels! And great news that Aaron won't have to wait. Praying for you all:)
ReplyDeleteMicah is in my prayers that everything goes smoothly with this surgery!
ReplyDeletePraying for your trip and the surgery and still praying for Masha and Eddie. Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. We are so excited to be adopting two boys now instead of just one. I read your blog every day because even though we have adopted from different countries, you get the passion I have to find families for precious children who have no future in their own countries.
