I Can't Imagine

I can't imagine.

I can't imagine spending 11 years in an orphanage waiting, longing, hoping, praying for a family.

I can't imagine how it must feel to wonder each time the car pulls up if the family from across the ocean is coming for me.

I can't imagine how utterly alone it would feel to watch your friends leave one by one while you are left behind.

I can't imagine.

I can't imagine how one simple diagnosis can cause people to run in terror from even considering the child behind the label.

I can't imagine.

Jack

His words:

"What do I need to do for a Mom to come? Do you know where she is? Is she looking for me?"

I just can't imagine.

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS ROOM AT THEIR TABLE FOR A SWEET, GENTLE, QUIET, OBEDIENT, KIND LITTLE BOY WHO DESPERATELY WANTS A MAMA?

  1. What a beautiful little boy! My son, Zach (10 years old), wants to adopt him. If only there was a way. We have room at our table! Thank you, Julia, for the post!

  3. Julia,

This little one has been weighing on my heart so heavily. We have been talking about bringing him home but we would have to jump through a lot of hoops just to be eligible and we're not sure if it would even work. We are putting it in God's hands and waiting to hear from Him. Thank you for posting this.

  5. Two readers see he need for this sweet young man's need for a loving family. Hoops?...... we had a ton yet God said go... again, walk with me and I'll get you through those hoops every step of the way!
I have a 83 year old orphaned father who is still longing for the parents he never had at the age of four. Please don't let this be Jacks lot in life. Tears are flowing right now for the fatherless.
thank you Julia for being their voice.

  6. What a beautiful kid--melt my heart. How can you not want to be the mom he's longing for, even if you don't have a kid his age? Sigh.

    Praying.

  7. Currently jumping through massive hoops to go get 2 children. I wish we could scoop him up too. Don't let hoops deter you. They are so worth it!
