And, of course, happy coming 16th birthday to Laurel who will no longer have to dread her birthday since each day will be one day closer to being home with her family rather than locked away in an institution.
What amazing news!!! I've been thinking about Laurel and Masha (from the ABC News RR report) all day. Now if Masha gets a family, my 48th birthday on Sunday will be wonderful beyond words. I can't believe I'm 48....Shocking ;) Happy Birthday, Julia. Patty
Just so grateful, and relieved, and in awe of the power of prayer and prayer in action. What wonderful news...I can't wait to follow Laurel's family's journey to their beautiful new daughter!

I am so happy for Laurel. God has blessed her frately. I was hoping we would be that family, but it wasn't meant to be. What a thrill that God answered the prayers of so many. I hope they write a blog so we can share in the joy!
I was sure God was going to give Laurel a family - I've being waiting for this post! Still, tears of joy to hear the wonderful news. Thankyou for advocating for her and so many others and getting us to pray.
Praise God! Another reminder of how he is able, please pray for reluctant spouses who are the only barrier to bringing these children home. Carla from canada
Praise God!!! I can't stop smiling and thanking Jesus!! My husband had this great idea to write the names of children waiting for families on index cards and have our children pray for them. We have been praying over the index card with Laurel's name on it. The thought of her happy little face turning to despair in an institution was unthinkable. I prayed and prayed God would spare her!! Praise the Lord for answered prayer!
YES! YES! HALLEUJAH!! Was hoping this was the news!!
