....continued from HERE....
Hanging out at the Ronald McDonald House in Delaware while we waited for the men at the duPont Hospital to create Aaron's brace was not a hardship for Aaron!!
In fact it was quite the joy ride!!
He made friends with a little boy from Pakistan and played with him for hours!
He also made another friend...
NO Aaron... we are NOT taking him home!!
He enjoyed all the food options... especially the vast amounts of delightful desserts...
And best of all... He got to spend time with his Aunt Tracey (my sister). She is an amazing tower builder...
And Aaron is an even more amazing tower destroyer!!!
Oh what fun!!!
LIFE AT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IS HARD WORK!!
.... COMING SOON....
THE NEXT INSTALLMENT OF THIS THREE PART SAGA.....
..THE WREX...

Julia, I'm not sure why today's post hit me like it did...but it did. Looking at Aaron on the grounds of the RMH playing outside in little cars, eating yummy food, building towers with your sister in a toy-filled, cheerful room and snuggled into bed comfortably sleeping just filled me with thankfulness that he is safe and home.... and then brought sobs of sorrow for all those left behind to play with sticks and strings, to sit in hot sheds on urine saturated benches, sleeping on cold floors lost to this world until death claims them. Makes me want to do more and shout louder for them. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he had a pretty good time at RMH! Voted and passed it on.
ReplyDeleteI love how he gives pooh bear the pillow while he sleeps off to the side
ReplyDeleteToo precious!
So cute :) Glad he had a good time there! I voted once today!
ReplyDeleteWill do so tomorrow too hopefully!

ReplyDeleteHi Julia! Love your blog! I was on the "An Orphan's Bright Star" web site and came across what might be a picture of your little guy from 2009 in one the newsletters. Just in case it was him, I thought I would pass it on in case you had never seen it. Here is the link, the picture is on page 4.
