This is one of those - FRANTIC FOR HELP Posts...

Oh my gracious....  Things went crazy yesterday...

I got a frantic e-mail from Jennifer Menges... you know.. Ian's Mama...

She was in a state of shock and excitement and panic and complete melt-down...

She had just received THIS E-MAIL...

Dear Jenn and Jon,


Blessings to you both as you prepare to go to Plev*n. I have been very pleased with your progress and congratulate you on rallying for your son. I am aware that you require some additional funds to cover the expenses you were asked to pay. I would like to offer you those additional funds, also in a matching grant. This means I am willing to match your $2900 if you are able to raise it in 30 days.

My heart and soul have been warmed to see friends and strangers alike supporting you. I also see the rallying cries of those who have a heart for orphans. Prior to you both, I was not aware of the families who are raising funds for their children. I had no idea of the need.

I know how much you both enjoy challenges, as you have risen to this one so admirably. Therefore, I would like to offer you another opportunity to turn your good fortune into good fortune for others. Please let me know if you can raise your $2900 by July 13th. This is the day before I go on an extended business trip in Europe. If this is successful, I would like you to choose another family that is burdened on your heart, and I will donate $200 to their cause. This is not a matching fund. I will simply donate it to them. And I will increase the amount by $50 for every day. If you reach your goal by July 12th, I will donate $250. July 11, $300. And so on. It will be incumbent upon you both to choose the family who is deserving. Please send that information to your cousin with their profile so that I may read their story.

You are free to continue as we originally agreed and I will now match your $2900, which should fund your adoption. However, if you feel able to raise the funds before I depart for Europe, I will also give $200 or more to another family. Please let me know your thoughts.

The Menges' are being offered another $400 on their matching grant so that IF THEY MATCH - THEY WILL BE FULLY FUNDED!!  

PLUS...

They are being given the chance to help another family at the same time.

BUT... THE STRINGS ATTACHED ARE CRAZY!!

If we raise the money TODAY..a total of $1,267 dollars for the Menges family... the 2nd family gets $500.00.

If we don't raise it tomorrow... we have to subtract 50.00 off that total!

THAT'S HORRIBLE!!

From today until July 12th we subtract 50 from that $500.00 each day that we don't raise the money!!!

UGH!!

Losing $50.00 dollars a day for a second family is nasty!!!

THAT IS A NASTY CHALLENGE!!!

THAT PUTS ME IN A BIT OF A STATE OF PANIC TOO....

When Jennifer asked me who I thought we should raise the money for I immediately said Renee and Alan. They just came back from adopting their sweet Emma...

and are going back in TWO WEEKS to get THREE MORE KIDDOS. 

  

 When they were there a few months ago they yelled their heads off and were able to get a whole host of kids listed from Emma's orphanage.... Almost ALL of those kids have found families....ALEXIS, PRYCE, PATTI, TYLER, BERNADETTE, MASON, DUNCAN, CARTER, ERIN... 

How could I not beg for them to be blessed.  They are short around 3,000 and really really need some help!

So PLEASE!! 

We need 1,267.00 for the Menges family!!

Jennifer has some AWESOME giveaway prizes on her blog so there is a HUGE incentive to donate to her... 

We can't wait to get this money.  We need it TODAY so that Renee and Alan will be blessed too.  

IF WE GET THE MONEY TODAY... 500 DOLLARS WILL BE DONATED TO THE 2ND FAMILY!!

I have no idea if this is possible but we have to at least try!!!

Raising 1,267.00 today will get the Menges fully funded...

It will NOT mean that Renee and Alan will be fully funded but it will bring them several hundred dollars closer to getting what they need!!
