  2. Thanking God for these more recent pictures. The video is wonderful. Praying his forever family sees him and brings him HOME.

  3. Thank you, Julia, for sharing Pam's blog. (Sounds like she is happy for you to share it, since hers is the very first comment on this blogpost!)

I also have a burden for Emmitt (and have had for a couple of years now) -- wish I could adopt him myself. I pray for him (and Karen [now 17] and her younger sister Chrystina) every morning and every evening in family worship. (I don't have a blog, or Facebook, or Twitter, to advocate for him on, so I'm glad to see others doing it.)

I haven't been able to watch the video yet -- we have limited Internet use, which renders videos of any type impractical. I'll have to wait until I'm some place with unlimited Internet access before I can see it. :(

Thanks again ever so much for helping spread this!

  4. I don't understand why he was not chosen long ago. He has such a nice face! Even in that first old pic that was true. But to see that video--oh, my heart breaks! I wish I could adopt him myself too. : ( He would be doted upon by his sisters and brother. . . I don't understand why God would give me a heart for adoption but then keep closing doors--now to the point where no one would approve us (simply for the size of our home--550 sq. feet for 6 of us, with no way to add on in the horizon). I brought this up to my husband the other day, and he said maybe God does not want us to adopt. But that is so contrary to who God is, as best as we know Him--God desires all children to be in families, I believe it. So the only other thing to think is that we are such flawed people that He would not entrust us with one of his special orphans. (sound of heart breaking further. . . ) But until the day when God changes His mind about why we can't adopt, I am doing what I can to advocate for kids like Emmitt, and to help fundraise. Thank you for sharing this updated photo--and video!!!
