Update

Surgery is done.  John came through with flying colors!  His pain is under control so he is jabbering away like nothing happened. Keeping him flat for 48 hours is going to be a challenge!  Getting him to rest in a hospital filled with noises and buttons and people is going to be challenge number 2. Thankfully they disengaged the buttons on his bed that raise and lower his head so challenge number 3 has been avoided.  He's in hyper-vigilant mode right now from stress. We will probably be here until Friday.  It's going to be a LONG week!
