MacBook Pro Laptop Giveaway

~$3,995.81~

For all of you that know me... You would most definitely NOT be surprised to learn that AS SOON AS I posted the TEN FOR TEN IN TEN DAYS BLOGPOST yesterday... I went into full panic mode!!

HOW IN THE WORLD ARE WE GOING TO RAISE $10,000.00 IN TEN DAYS FOR THIS LITTLE GIRL???

Are we crazy?

What have we done?

I sent my dear sweet steady husband a message saying we had made a huge mistake.

I sent my sweet friend Patti Rice a panicked e-mail.

I was falling a bit apart!

My husband didn't reply to my message because he is sweet and steady and figured I just needed to vent.

My dear sweet friend Patti picked up the phone and called me.

She didn't call to knock me upside the head though I sorely needed it...

She called to tell me that she had just received an e-mail.

When I heard her voice I thought it was bad news and I was ready to melt right into the floor....

WRONG!!  Not bad news at all...

She called to tell me to put my panic on the back burner because the same Holy Spirit that moved in our hearts to support the Dewberrys, the same Holy Spirit that inspired a family to donate a 10,000.00 matching grant, that same Holy Spirit had also just moved in another family's heart to donate a $1,200 MacBook Pro Laptop for us to use as a Giveaway for the Dewberrys.

Guess what I did?

I burst out crying.

Poor Patti had to calm down a blubbering mess on the phone.  She handled me well and within a matter of time I had gained my composure enough to have a rational discussion with her.

So there you have it.  Those who think I go into these crazy adventures with any faith at all... Think again....

I'm pathetic.

YOU GUYS ROCK!!

TAYLOR HAS SOME MIGHTY WARRIORS OUT THERE FIGHTING FOR HER!!  PRAISE GOD!!  PRAISE GOD!!

Current Sponsored Orphan: Taylor

ALREADY WE HAVE RAISED $3,995.81 FOR THE 10,000 MATCHING GRANT!!

TEN for TEN in TEN days

They crossed the ocean the first time in 2010 to bring home this sweet young man, Koyla.

They crossed the ocean again only a few months ago to bring home another boy who wanted a family.  At the last minute fear took over and he said no.  The draw of his friends and the terror of the unknown prevented him from taking the utterly free gift that was offered.

He said no.

Heartbroken they came home.

They were burned and saddened and financially tapped out.

They came home to cry and heal and forget about oceans and airplanes and international adoptions.

But God.

And one picture.

TAYLOR

A little girl across the ocean begging for a family.

A little Reece's Rainbow babe who has been waiting for a family for far too long.

A precious treasure who is facing transfer any day.

One picture and their world turned upside down.

They had a choice.  They could say no.  They could say maybe but hold off in order to raise the money.  They could drop everything and cross the ocean now.

The terror of rejection whispered "no".
The reality that their pockets were empty whispered "wait".
The Holy Spirit whispered "GO" in their hearts.

They are going.

The cliff is unbelievable steep.

Since their dossier was ALREADY IN COUNTRY - They only needed to add a paper or two and they were good to go back.  They received an appointment almost immediately.  That has left them mere weeks to raise $32,000.00.

Normally adoptions in that country do not run that high (Aaron's cost $30,000.00 but his was not normal).  But a huge soccer tournament is happening at the same time they are crossing the ocean and where Taylor is located is right smack in the middle of where the tournament is going to take place.  Apartment costs are skyrocketing and food prices are going to be outrageous.

The bill is enormous.

It is stunning.  Shocking.

But this little girl wants a family.

She doesn't care about soccer tournaments or the high price of plane costs.  She wants a Mama and a Papa.  She will be thrilled with an older brother.  She is tired of watching every other child in her groupa being picked while she has been left behind.  She doesn't want to be transferred.

Taylor wants a family.

They want her.

And God is making a way.

Here's the deal.

So far the Dewberry's have raised about $11,000.00.

They need to raise $22,000.00 more.

They are traveling in 11 days!!

IMPOSSIBLE...

All we need to raise is $10,000.00 and the Dewberry's will just about be FULLY FUNDED!

Faithful to the Fatherless

I know.... My title is wrong.  This is supposed to be Fatherless Friday.

It is Fatherless Friday.

But today on this day I want to highlight two amazing women who have been Faithful to the Fatherless.

I want you to meet these women and the KIDS WHO HAVE CAPTURED THEIR HEARTS!

SEE THESE TWO GIRLS.... Look at their grant accounts.... They have that much money in their accounts because of the yelling and fundraising and prayers and advocating of one very special woman.  Her name is Leah and she has faithfully hollered for families to come for these two girls for well over a year.  Every day.  Begging for donations.  Trying to raise awareness.  Praying that families would rise up.  I LOVE LEAH.  She is barely 20 years old and has her heart clearly in the right place.

                                 CORA LYNN                                                                CELINE
$4,562.00                                                                $10,4390.00

But she doesn't just advocate for Cora Lynn and Celine.... Nope...

LEAH DECIDED TO ADD HEATH ONTO HER LIST OF KIDS...

So she has been fundraising and yelling and praying and hollering for him.

Leah has been yelling for OUR LOST BOY.

$9070.00

But that isn't all... Leah is forever hollering for the families who are adopting, she is always donating and raising money for anyone in need, she was a HUGE supporter of our Mulligan Stew and she advocates for other kids besides these three. And on top of all that... she volunteers at a Pregnancy Center and she STINKING PUTS ME TO SHAME.

Does she get discouraged.  ABSOLUTELY.  Yelling for kids for over a year and seeing their grant accounts grow but seeing NO ONE EVER ASKING OR STEPPING UP TO ADOPT THEM is heartbreaking and some days Leah's heart breaks.

I wish I could hand families to her on a silver platter.  I wish we would see Cora Lynn and Celine and Heath on the My Family Found Me Page.

PLEASE..... SOMEONE MAKE LEAH'S DAY!!

I'm looking for THREE FAMILIES to step up and answer the call...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE THE ANSWER TO HER PRAYER!!

AND WHILE YOU ARE AT IT....

Will a FOURTH FAMILY step up and get this little one...

$5030.00

She has a mighty warrior too - her name is Stephanie!  She has been yelling her heart out too!!

She has raised money, advocated, begged, prayed.... and so far to no avail!!  Carina waits.

Or course like Leah, Stephanie doesn't just yell for Carina... Nope... that would be too easy... She is constantly hollering and yelling and donating and praying for the other families and kids out there who need help!!

But always... always.. yelling for her sweet Carina.

And right now she is discouraged and frustrated because No One is seeing the treasure hiding behind that sad little face!!

Stephanie speaks from experience when she begs for people to see the treasure that is in Carina... She has her own treasure and I am blessed to get to read about and see pictures of her treasure on her blog.  Her treasure's name is EMMA and she has rocked her family's world!  I stole a picture off her blog so you could see her too....

Don't you just wish that Carina and Heath and Cora Lynn and Celine were someone's treasures?  How precious it would be to see pictures of the four of them with upside down glasses, laughing and rocking the world's of their families....

Would that I could call out four families to adopt each of these babes.

Why have these kids waited so long?  All four of them have HUGE grant accounts.  All four of them have had prayers poured over their heads.  All four of them have  been advocated for over and over and over again.

WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO??

Where are the families for these four treasures???

Does not anyone see their value?  Their worth?

Will no one hear the voices of these faithful yelling for the fatherless?

PLEASE???

WHERE ARE THEIR FAMILIES!
